Results from a doctoral thesis from the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, indicate that Staphylococus aureus-induced mortality is associated with dietary fat consisting of saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids, but not polyunsaturated fatty acids.
